THE MARKET: Tequesta Green Market

THE INFO: This market opens the first Sunday of each month, from November to April. The final green market for the season is April 1, from noon to 4 p.m. It’s held at Constitution Park, 399 Seabrook Road (behind the Tequesta Recreation Center), in Tequesta. THE VENDOR: Robert Farriss of Farriss Farm in Palm Beach Gardens THE FIND: Farriss Farm’s fresh eggs What a treat, to find farm-fresh eggs on a recent Sunday afternoon trip to the Tequesta Green Market. Robert Farriss of Farriss Farm has just over 90 hens on a small, free-range farm in Palm Beach Gardens that also grows container herbs and vegetables. At the market, I grabbed a dozen eggs from Farriss ($6), and some veggies from the Jupiter Produce Market stand nearby to make a healthy and delicious vegetable frittata. Farriss believes the difference is in the product — a fresh-tasting egg with a deep golden yolk. “I’m going make $1 million, $6 at a time,” he jokes.
