obama-dress

Michelle Obama is bringing glamour back to the White House. As hostess to the first official state dinner she dazzled in a strapless gown by Mumbai-born designer Naeem Khan.

The nude color gown had a silver floral embellishment that worked well with the Indian inspired theme of the night.

Mrs. Obama draped herself with an elegant wrap and accessorized with a stack of gold and silver bangles. She had her hair swept up and a pair of chandelier earrings with a fleur-de-lis motif.

Her overall look was sophisticated and modern. I can’t wait to see what she puts together for the next state dinner!

All i can say she’s gorgeous & very elegant.

  2. QBanner says:

Its not really nude…because that’s not her skin color lol. A more appropriate description would be champagne colored or cream colored.

    who cares???!!!!!

I agree, nude IS an odd way to describe it. Reminds me of the “flesh” color Crayolas from my childhood. Whose flesh? The cream-colored dress looks stunning against her lovely brown skin.

Lots better than Laura, for sure.

There was no television when Roosevelt was President. The Public did not see such lavish parties. However, Roosevelt did not need them because he grew up with the finer things in life. It seems now that the times are still great for the haves, but not so great for the have nots. Roosevelt chose to identify and fight for the have nots. This president has decided to side with the Bankers and Financiers. It will backfire on him when it is time for his reelection.

I hear a beautiful young lady from the council on foreign relations was wearing a spectacular gown by Bibhu Mohapatra.
would love to see that too..

    Michelle looked beautiful.

Safety before fashion is best. Social Secretary needed to check the list of invitees before prancing in front of cameras in her Commes des Garcon.

Mrs O looks great in this. Very elegant. Can’t stand the prints she wears…VERY old looking, dated, not even retro.

  10. Runway says:

Laura consistently looked well-groomed and lovely. That can’t be said for someone coming off Air Force One wearing shorts and sneakers to the Grand Canyon.
