I don’t understand what “objectified” means. Men are wired to enjoy looking at a female in a bathing suit. As a female there is nothing to do but recognize that. If I made any form of entertainment for men, it would include the female form.

Well I think they picked the perfect person and picture. it’s a great picture .
Of course people are going to try and point something wrong with her, shes gorgeous, everyone picks on gorgeous people because they envy.

But anyways,
Lisa, SEX SELLS, it’s going to attract men to it the issue, and they’ll most likely buy it in hope of more photos. Just like Maxim, and etc…
I see no wrong in putting beautiful women on a cover, PLUS its the swimsuit edition. so its obvious they are going to put her over Michael Phelps in a speedo..

What I’d like to know is why does Sports Illustrated feature the annual swimsuit issue in the first place? What “sport” are we talking about here? Girlwatching? Casual sex? Plastic surgery? (since when did these become sports, anyway???) Yes, the models are beautiful young women, and the covers/spreads are artsy and cool, but it’s a shame that the models are so overtly objectified. If the aim of the issue is to spotlight the sport of swimming, take off the hot chick and put Michael Phelps on the cover!!

I don’t know. They always look way better in pictures than real life. I have seen Brooklyn in real life. She was just an OK looking girl.
