Tasti D-Lite, the lower-calorie frozen dessert chain, is celebrating the grand opening of its Boynton Beach store Thursday through Sunday. The official ribbon-cutting ceremony takes place at 2 p.m. Saturday with Maj. Frank Briganti of the Boynton Beach Police Department, Sharon Wallace of the Chamber of Commerce and other honored guests.
Sunny 104.3 will broadcast live from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, and everyone gets a free Tasti D-Lite small cup or cone from 1-3 p.m. Saturday. From 1-6 p.m., Mickey and Minnie Mouse will greet kids, and there will be face painting, Tasti tattoos and a balloon artist.
Register to win the grand prize of a year of free Tasti, a free Cake & Pie Office Party for 20, a free Tasti birthday party for 15 kids, a free visit at Ladies First Chiropractic and a free four-layer facial and spa pedicure at Something About Nails.
Door prizes – including Tasti D-Lite quarts, pints and pies – will be given out throughout the weekend. Ten percent of the proceeds from Thursday through Sunday and 5 percent of proceeds every Wednesday from May 26 through Aug. 18 will be donated to the Boynton Beach Police Department’s K9 Unit, which recently lost a K9 to illness.
