Tried Radiant

In the tube, the shade I tested looked darker than one I’d usually wear. (I love sheer, neutral tones.) But once I slicked it on, the color blended into my natural lip tone, giving it a wonderfully sheer, iridescent glow with just the right hint of pink plum. It’s like a shimmery mood ring for the lips. On the downside — yes, my fellow Smashbox fans, there is a rare downside here — neither the color nor the shine lasts very long. To remedy this, I pat a little powder on my lips before applying the gloss. And I keep the gloss tube handy for touchups.

Tried Aura

If you are wishing for the ultimate lip gloss collection, your wish has come true! For just under $30 you get six glosses and two of them are full size. The shade I tested was very soft and flattering. Perfect for daytime. I also liked the texture, smooth, not sticky.

Tried Tease

The one thing Smashbox has over the competition is that it glides on smoothly. Unlike most glosses that are as heavy as motor oil, this one made me feel as though I was moisturizing my lips instead of gluing them shut. You’ll need several applications throughout the day, though, as this gloss wears off after about an hour. The color, however, does last a little longer than the shine. At six for $29, each tube in Smashbox’s collection costs just under 5 bucks so they’re well worth it for the moisturizing alone. Also, $1 is donated to the Children’s Miracle Network for every purchase so you get to donate to charity and look good, too!

Tried Luster

The experts at Smashbox can do no wrong with their lip treats. This set is a steal for six tubes in a variety of pretty winter tints ranging from golden pink to shimmering plum. I tried Luster, a highly reflective gloss with beautiful golden shimmer. It is sheer enough for everyday use, but glamorous enough to punch up an evening look as well.

Six quality glosses for $29 is something to smile about. The $1 donation Smashbox makes to the Children’s Miracle Network is really something to smile about. This is what they mean by ‘beautiful inside and out!’
