The headband is back!

Former first lady Hillary Clinton’s signature hair accessory — the headband — came out of retirement Monday when the secretary of state met with the Spanish foreign minister in Washington.

Is Clinton overdue for a haircut?

Is she in the awkward growing-out phase, biding her time on the painful road to longer locks?

Is she just like the rest of us, reluctantly reaching for the headband when the ’do is determined to be a don’t?

Only her hairdresser knows for sure.

Later Monday, Clinton removed the headband — probably hoping to avoid stories like this.
