Burt Reynolds, our local bonafide kick-butt action icon and keeper of the ‘stache, will be making an appearance on an episode of “Burn Notice,” South Florida’s homegrown spy series.

According to EW.com, The Bandit is playing a former spy who has fallen on hard times since leaving the CIA. He’s now a bartender, and he serves as a cautionary tale to Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan), a burned spy who just can’t shake the life, even if the government won’t take him back.

We’re trying to get some insight from The Burt himself about the role, and how he’s feeling after having bypass surgery a few months back. We’ll let you know!

Better known as a spy who uses special ops training to help people, Jeffrey Donovan played a lobbyist for the TV news cameras Tuesday to highlight the economic impact his show brings to South Florida.
