The Galu tribe had a tough decision during their very first trip to tribal council – should they vote out Monica, who did really badly on a challenge, or Yasmin, who doesn’t really do…anything?
We’re still in the early phases where there are a lot of people I still can’t tell apart, because there are just too many of them. But it’s hard to exactly get into the “Survivor”‘s heads, because I’m watching this unfold lying on my tuccus in my air-conditioned living room with my cat, and they’re running around a hot rainy jungle chasing a chicken.

It sure doesn’t seem like the holidays are close. But they are just weeks away. So I’m going to start reviewing holiday foods and food gifts.
Here’s one my extended family has grown more and more fond of over the years: World Vision charity. My family loves to “give” each other goats and poultry.
The recipient gets a heartwarming card with a photo of the animal or other gift, and the goat, ducks, chickens, seeds (whatever the giver chooses), is sent to a deeply needy area in the U.S. or around the world.
My refrigerator is decorated with several pictures of smiling children with World Vision goats. I’m deeply moved by people needing the most basic things: food and clean water.
