Chris Brown is hoping the last few months are behind him as his tour heads to South Florida.

Months after the singer assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna, then took a plea deal, Brown is back out on the road on what he’s calling his “Fan Appreciation tour”. The tour is making a stop at Revolution Live on Nov. 29. Tickets go on sale Saturday.

Brown would likely rather people remember him for “Forever”, which thanks to a highly watched viral YouTube video found its way into the wedding episode of NBC’s The Office.

Buzz Bake Sale tix on sale this weekend

The Buzz 103.1′s annual festival of alternative music, The Buzz Bake Sale, is bringing in a wide range of bands for this year’s version on Dec. 5 at Cruzan Amphitheatre.

From the psychedelic pop-punk of Panic! at the Disco to the electronic fun of Metric to the Hasidic reggae/rap of Matisyahu, the Bake Sale is shaping up to have a great menu for a lot of tastes.

Tickets are on sale this weekend for the event.

Also appearing at the all-day show are Jared Leto-led rockers 30 Seconds To Mars, Canadian veterans Our Lady Peace, Georgia-based alt-blasters Manchester Orchestra, plus Halestorm, Chevelle, Sick Puppies, Cage The Elephant, Skindred, Anberlin, The Used, The After Midnight Project, Say Anything and local band Ladies and Gentlemen.

Jackson tribute in Vienna: A thriller gone bad?


It was supposed to be a thriller. Now it just looks bad.

Jermaine Jackson promised some of the planet’s biggest stars would take the stage in front of a 17th-century palace in Vienna for what’s been billed as the major global tribute to Michael Jackson.

So far, though, he hasn’t delivered top acts like Madonna for the Sept. 26 outdoor concert. And two of the supposedly confirmed headliners announced this week — Mary J. Blige and Chris Brown — apparently are out.

Blige’s publicist says she has another commitment. A person close to the situation told The Associated Press in Los Angeles that Brown won’t perform either and a spokeswoman for Natalie Cole suggested she, too, is iffy.

ilooktoyouThe consensus: The one time pop icon is looking to put the focus back on her voice and off her personal struggles, and many critics say she’s succeeded.

I Look To You is Houston’s first album in seven years, and while that great voice isn’t all the way back — it “breaks awkwardly when it should soar, low notes sound husky,” says Slant Magazine’s Sal Cinquemani — a solid set of songs have her on the way back.

Metacritic gives I Look To You a score of 71 for generally favorable reviews.
