Oscar award winning actress Faye Dunaway appeared on tonight’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy. She played Dr. Campbell, a legendary surgeon who refused to retire although she hasn’t been at the top her game for quite some time.

Yang suggested “the dinosaur should retire to Boca” after she botched what should have been a simple surgery.

Yang and Hunt’s relationship seems promising. Hunt apparently looks forward to spending the next forty years with Yang – and they haven’t even had an official first date yet!

We also learned that Hunt was “fired” from the military he received an honorable discharge; it became apparent to him and others that it was time for him to walk away.

Miranda has a great new hair style to go along with her new gig as a pediatric surgeon. She asks the chief surgeon to write a letter of recommendation but his letter is less than impressive and generic.
O’Malley does a much better job and Miranda is grateful.

Speaking of O’Malley – where the heck has he been? He has been virtually MIA since the beginning of the season. He’s been kept busy running errands for the chief and hasn’t had a story line built around him at all. It’s no wonder the rumor mills are spinning that he is leaving the show. I just wonder if it is true how they will write his character off especially since there hasn’t been anything interesting going on with him.

As far as Izzie; my inclination was right! The test results were mixed up. Izzie got a biopsy further proving to herself (and to us) that she in fact does have cancer. She hasn’t told anyone and it doesn’t seem like she will, for now at least. In fact she has the interns playing “mystery diagnosis” with her medical tests. They have no idea the “healthy 29 year old female” they are trying to diagnose is her.

I have a hunch that all this speculation about her being killed off the show is off – I think she will have her battle with cancer survive it but decide she wants to leave Seattle Grace to possibly mend the relationship with the daughter she gave up for adoption. I’m holding my breath to find out but I’m sure we won’t know for certain until the very end of the season.

Tempers rose as Derek’s pregnant patient had complications from her surgery. In an attempt to save her life he caused further damage. Addison had to step in to save the premature infant’s life despite Derek’s refusal to put down his scalpel. At the end the patient died but the baby’s life was saved. Losing this patient has shook Derek to the core and left Meredith wondering what has become of him.

Mark in an attempt to please Lexi finally reveals to Derek he is in a relationship with her. He had no idea Derek just lost a patient. It was bad timing to break the news to him and on top of that having fought with Addison; Derek gives Mark a blow to his face! The two have a brawl in the hospital and Hunt had to break up the fight.

Who knew these two Mchotties were a bunch of Mctoughies?

Is this awesome or asinine?

Who is to say… but anyways great post. http://www.justaskmedical.com/healthinsurance
