The Twitter-verse is abuzz with the idea of a Michael Jackson tribute routine on SYTYCD, choreogrpahed by Paula Abdul at show creator Nigel Lythgoe‘s request.

Last Friday afternoon on Twitter, Nigel (@dizzyfeet) replied to Paula (@PaulaAbdul): “I follow you too. Will you choreograph an MJ tribute for us this week?”

He later appealed to his 17,000+ followers: “People please use Twitter-Power. Ask @PaulaAbdul to choreograph a Michael Jackson tribute on SYTYCD.”

Looks like she didn’t hesitate to accept the offer. She soon replied, “Have your people call my people Nigel and let’s do it! lol”.

According to another Nigel tweet, Mia Michaels and Wade Robson are also involved.

But as of an update by Nigel Sunday morning, they are still trying to get the necessary permission to use Michael’s music. So he’s urging fans to be patient while they “organize, clear and choreograph.”

To stay posted, follow Nigel and/or Paula…

“So you think you can dance” is one of the best programs ever!
Everytime it shows in Sweden I watch it! No one can take me away from the TV when it’s on!

Michael Jackson is one of the best dancer/actors we’ve ever seen!

So of cource SYTYCD have to have a tribute to him!

I don’t have twitter, but I hope I can make my voice heard this way!

My very best to the people on the show SYTYCD and to Michael and his family and fans all over the world!

    Love and hugs/Marie
