SpongeBob Squarepants’ is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this week. A documentary on the Nickelodeon cartoon show airs tonight on Vh1. And a weekend marathon of old and new episodes starts Friday night on Nickelodeon.

Our five favorite ‘SpongeBob’ characters:

	5. Squidward. He is one surly waiter. Of course, if you were dishing up putrid Crabby Patties for life…
	4. Gary the snail. Cute and quiet. The Harpo of Bikini Bottom.
	3. Mr. Crabs. One tightfisted old barnacle of a crustacean.
	2. Plankton! He’s eeeeeeevil but, alas, tiny and ineffective.
	1.SpongeBob, of course! Who doesn’t love a cute yellow sponge who wears pants and talks like he swallowed a helium balloon?
