The fans of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia may not be as big a group as say fans of, oh, Lost or NCIS.

But they are a fervent bunch, and news of two of the actors on the show — which revolves around five people and a bar — are actually buying a Philadelphia bar has become a hot topic on Twitter.

At least among the FX show’s fans. Of which I am one.

Three different Web sites, including Eater — a pretty reputable foodie site — are reporting that Rob McElhenny and his wife, fellow cast member Kaitlin Olson, are buying a bar in Old City, very close to where the show takes place.

The Illadelph is reporting that the bar will be called Mac’s Olde Towne Tavern, which sounds pretty close to what Always Sunny‘s Paddy’s Pub is — a place to hang out and drink beer.

I just hope Mac doesn’t actually try to hire Charlie to keep the place clean. Because Charlie’s too busy with Kitten Mittons.

(Disclaimer: Please never do this to your cat. It’s very wrong.)

How cool, I’ll have to look for it the next time I’m in Philly (which isn’t too often.) I absolutely loved that Kitten Mittons episode, especially Charlie’s ad.

Gotta be honest with you. I’ve been looking for an excuse to put up the clip of Charlie’s ad for a little while now. One of the funniest things I’ve seen all year.

Again, you must NEVER do this with your own cat…
