Leno pulls in 5 million, Conan 25 million. While Jay used to pull in 30 million in Conan’s slot, those people did not follow him. Conan viewers did follow him. Conan pulls a younger base that will be around long after Jay’s base is dead. It should be a no brainer for NBC. Leno failed, he can’t go anywhere else because who wants a 5 million pull? Leno’s dead and they need to pull the plug.
