Hold on to your hats, Jack Bauer fans. The television and film divisions of Fox are teaming up to deliver a big-screen version of 24.

Take the Ultimate ’24′ Quiz!

Although it is in the very early stages, the film version of the high-octane drama will reportedly take Bauer on an action-laden field mission to Europe. According to Variety, the producers of 24 had discussed a feature-length project in the past, but hadn’t been given the green light until now.

Kiefer Sutherland: ‘It’s Amazing That I’m Still Alive’

The trade paper also reports that the show’s star and executive producer, Kiefer Sutherland, would assume the same roles in the feature film production. There is no word yet on whether or not the show’s current slate of actors would be involved in the movie.

Fox has yet to sign on for a ninth season of 24, which is currently in its eighth season on the network.

Kiefer is a really awesome guy. He tends to get into trouble but he always recovers quickly. Check out his bio, “Kiefer Sutherland: Living Dangerously” available on amazon.com! Hope “24″ makes it to the big screen.

  2. Groucho says:

Too bad this didn’t happen 3 or 4 years ago…before 24 started to suck. Seems like they used up all their good ideas years ago, and the show has become a parody of itself.
