My twin sister, who used to make her living doing dinner theater and has flirted with cabaret, disagreed with me about the worthiness of Norman Gentle/Nick Marshall, to stay on “American Idol.” Her feeling was that if the judged kept putting him through for all the controversial drama-type situation that he inspires, knowing his fondness of singing in character and general goofiness, then they have to put up with his antics.

She’s right – the judges reaped what they sowed. And now the audience has spoken, and they’re no longer buying what he’s selling.

Thank you, God.

I hate this show’s Stupid Human Tricks they play with the kids’ emotions, where they pull them out in the middle of the stage, say “One of you made it, and the other four are leaving on the loser train, and we hope that we’re not back again.

The people that made it through, Allison, Kris and Adam, will obviously be back again, along with whoever is the wildcard pick. I hope they consider Megan and her Ricky Lee Jones thing she has, because she rocks.

But with my luck it’ll be Norman.

Blurg.

One Response to ““American Idol”: Norman/Nick goes home! Yay!”

  1. Barb says:

I disagree. The guy CAN sing. And he’s interesting. The show is just one big yawn now.
