Thank you, America! Thank you for overlooking the Idol brainwashing and the toxic machinery and deciding to put two singers with an actual personality in the final. I’m sorry that my girl Michelle Visage is having her glamazon heart broken right now. But so happy for my poor put-upon Kris. So happy. Happy Happy Joy Joy!

I’m watched this on TiVo, and found that I’m so stressed about this elimination that I had very little patience for all the filler mess – even less patience than usual. I sort of smiled through the product placement “Night At The Museum” promo with my celeb crush Bill Hader at the rest of the cast, and admittedly, although I am not proud, FF’d through Alicia Keys and the sweet triumphant African kid.

Good for you being triumphant, kid. Who got kicked off?

I sat through most of the tape of “Danny Gokey Day,” including a parade and his reunion with Jamar, his friend who still oughta be on here. Instead of him.

Kris Allen, however, I care about, because I love him more than cheese, and because I love Arkansas. My mother’s co-workers at a hospital I will not name to protect the Idol-obsessed took off work to see him sing at the RiverFest Amphitheater, where I once saw the Spinners, and near where you can get the best hushpuppies ever at a joint called Flying Fish. I love this kid. I love that he apparently toured the Ozark state singing “Falling Slowly,” a song from an indie movie about Irish buskers. I love that he’s so humble and awesome and has a cute family and that he’s got a future no matter what these heifers did to him.

I cannot believe that the weather lady on Adam’s FOX station had him do her eyeliner. What is wrong with people? And those girls chasing his limo so close they risk losing toes. Then, they followed with Katy Perry, who I really have little patience for. She was wearing an Adam Lambert Elvis cape. I hate her either more – they let her endorse him? I really, really dislike her music. She got Fast Forwarded. I had nothing else to give, and dang if I was gonna waste it on her.

Anyhoo, the gig is up, the word is out, they finally booted him. Danny’s gonna have a solid career ahead of him as the new Peabo Bryson, and next week I’ll get to see Kris Allen sing one more time. And that makes me smile. Unlike Katy Perry.

Kris is bland. He is like vanilla ice cream. A good singer that is not unique in any way…accept for is twisted mouth. Very hard to look at when he sings. When I saw the hundreds of six year olds at Kris’ hometown visit, I knew Danny was in trouble.
Danny is just as good and has a unique sound. He will triumph in the end.

my glamazon heart IS broken because this is a SINGING competition, not a cub scout fire with an acoustic session, miss streeter! DANNY BLEW HIM OUT OF THE OZARK WATERS and you know IT!! but i still love you and LOVE to disagree with you even more ;)

It’s a singing competition, with three distinctly different singers – and my favorite is the one singing the gorgeous, sensitive acoustic numbers. The millions of Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews and Matt Nathanson fans will tell you there’s a market for his music. I adore that music and I adore him. I also love Adam’s talent and his big, crazy craziness. And I will always love what Danny did to “You Are So Beautiful.” But I’m not sorry (please don’t hurt me) that he’s gone.

“When I saw the hundreds of six year olds at Kris’ hometown visit, I knew Danny was in trouble.”

Thomas thats exactly what i was saying yesterday in here…Kris probably had all the lil teenagers with their friends all by their cell phones and house phones voting and voting for Kris…don’t worry I saw it coming, but Danny will get signed to someone either way!

  5. Marc says:

WHAT A SHAME! Kris is very very talented…but his singing doesn’t hold a candle to Danny’s! I thought this was a singing competition, not a “teen beat” heart throb competition. Clearly, Kris’ fan base of 12 to 15-year-old girls dominated the phone-in votes. I just hope that Danny, like other Idol non-winners ends up with the great career.

  6. Tymmie says:

Me no like Cris. Me think Adum Rhocks. Me want Adum tu whin.
Adum haves a nice mouth not Cris. Adum walks nice not Cris.

Adam is the one baby! He’s been solid like a rock every week. I get so excited each week just waiting for Tuesday to see what he’s going to do! He has it all wrapped up in a very good looking, talented, entertaining way. He certainly is easy to look at and reminds me of Elvis.

  8. sprice says:

By the way, Kris is cute and talented, but compared to Adam he’s a soda with no fizz!!

  9. Jonah says:

    Yeah right!
