Tara is emerging as a big threat to the other contestants on 'The Biggest Loser.'

Half a loaf on Biggest Loser tonight.

The episode is divided between Tuesday and Wednesday for the president’s speech. Lots of competition, but no elimination.

Lots of tears, but no transformation.

We make do with watching the teams being reworked. And the first challenge has a member of each team in the mud.

Tara wins first place and gets to pick her trainer. She stays with Jillian. Pretty much everyone else gets bumped to a different team or trainer.

Trainers Jillian and Bob are shocked to see their new teams.

Bob gets tears in his eyes and pronounces himself the most upset he’s ever been on the show when he sees his old teammates.

Buck up, Bob. This is not about you!

Tell your ex-gang to get rolling!

But, no. Bob hangs out with his old charges for many minutes, telling them how upset he is and that he now has to go be a trainer and it’s going to be really hard.

Boo hoo, Bob! Suck it up!

Now Bob is crying! Motivate this team, Bob! I think Bob can’t face the fact that Jillian is an effective trainer and that he is being replaced.

Roll the highlight reel of Bob and his old gang.

After the break, Jillian is trying to get her new team motivated with …. Ziploc bags. She touts their “Fresh shield.”

Bob makes his Academy performance, and Jillian is reduced to being a spokesmodel!

The second challenge of the night is a team challenge, thank goodness. The idea is for each team to put as many miles on their bike as possible in the next 24 hours. The team with the most miles wins a 3-pound advantage at weigh in.

It looks easy to us, the home viewers, but the team members insist they are hurting all over.

Each member of the Black team goes 30 minutes at a time and seems to be holding up pretty well. The Blue team members are each taking an hour on the bike, and that looks punishing.

There is a temptation to make a pact between both teams to quit, but the team members decide to push ahead.

“The reason why we’re all here is we never finished losing weight before,” Black team member Dane says.

In the end, it’s 264 miles for the Blue team and 309 miles for the Black team for the win.

Former model Tara, who is emerging as a big threat, logs the most miles at 58.

That ends Tuesday’s episode. We get to see who goes home on Wednesday.

Best quote of the episode:

“You have all proved that in one day anything is possible.”

Host Alison Sweeney

Worst quote of the episode:

“This is the hardest thing I have ever been through on The Biggest Loser.

Bob, the trainer

Most inspiring quote of the episode:

She is a winner. If she’ll make me a winner that’s just fine.

Michael about his new trainer Jillian
