In a one-on-one interview with Today‘s Meredith Vieira, Kate Gosselin disputed claims by her husband and others that she is an “absentee mom”, neglecting her eight children for the sake of fame.

Gosselin, who is competing on Dancing With the Stars, says she’d much rather be home with her kids, but being a single mom, she has to get out and work.

One Response to “Kate Gosselin disputes ‘absentee mom’ claims on NBC’s ‘Today’”

  1. Just Saying says:

Oh please, Kate! The definition of ‘single mom’ means that you are raising 8 children alone. I would say that receiving upwards of $21,000.00 PER MONTH in child support FROM JON does not classify you as a single mom. You are a divorced mom that is receiving help not only from JON’s child support but also by TLC and not to mention the nannies, housekeepers, groundsmen, etc, etc. Give me a break! You don’t have a clue what it is like to be a single mother and have to work 3 jobs just to keep a roof over your kids’ heads and food on the table. This ‘oh poor me act’ is getting old as well as throwing your children’s dad under the bus every chance you get! The public is on to you Kate – is that why you continually go to media sources that won’t call you out on your BS so you can yet again cry your sob story? I FOR ONE AM SICK OF IT!
