It doesn’t surprise people when Marilyn Manson reveals his interest in fantasy literature/films like Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory or Alice In Wonderland. But his latest obsession is catching more than a few people off-guard.
A picture in the latest issue of Interview magazine shows Manson — who was born Brian Warner and went to high school and college in Broward County — without make-up, with a curly mullet and wearing a baseball jersey with “Atlanta, 55″ on it.
Appears Manson’s a big Eastbound & Down fan, a Kenny Powers obsessive.
In the Interview article, director Adam Bhala Lough, who is working with Manson on the film Splatter Sisters, says it’s more than just the uniform:
“Whenever I see Manson, he’s repeating entire chunks of dialogue and dressed like Kenny,” says Lough. “He just walks around dressed like this and f***s with people on the street. If a waiter or valet tells him, ‘Have a nice day,’ he’ll respond, ‘Don’t tell me what to do.’ Stuff like that.”
Lough says Manson’s high interest in the HBO comedy worries one of the show’s directors, David Gordon Green, who happens to be producing Manson’s road-trip slasher pic:
“I think David’s actually frightened for (Eastbound star) Danny (McBride). Because Manson wants to kidnap Danny on some King of Comedy s***. Danny should be scared.”

Marilyn Manson went to GlenOak High School in Plain Township, OH. he may have moved before he graduated, but the majority of his life was in the Canton, Oh area
His family moved to South Florida from Ohio either after or at the tail end of his high school days. He attended Broward Community College and lived with his parents in Boca Raton when he first started his music career in the early 1990s while working at the Peaches store on Glades Road.
