Izzie finds out the truth about Denny's visit

Turns out breaking up with a dead boyfriend is harder than you’d think. Since his return from the dead, Denny has been telling Izzie “I’m here for you”.

This left me confused, but mostly annoyed. I don’t know if it’s OK to hope for a dead person to be killed off of the show, again – but Denny has really been putting a damper on Izzie’s career and relationship with Karev.

It turns out Denny really had something important to say, after all. Izzie is gravely ill and if she doesn’t find out what’s wrong she might join him in eternal sunshine. Any thoughts on what Steven’s mysterious diagnosis will be?

William is back. He wasn’t able to donate his organs to Jackson because Derek rushed in and saved his life. He was then sent back to death row.

The serial killer’s last wish is to have Meredith witness his execution. She reluctantly agrees to and is traumatized by the experience.

She tells Derek how she just wanted to show this heartless serial killer compassion – and here I was thinking she wanted to save Jackson’s life!

Speaking of Jackson, he had a close call. As his mom bid him farewell a donor miraculously emerged to save his life.

Meanwhile, Derek told Christina he planned to ask Meredith to marry him. Perfect timing, the BFF’s are finally on the mend and could pick out bridesmaid dresses together! One can only hope.

Christina and Owen make plans for a second date. He opens up to her about the challenges he has been facing since returning from war.

Christina hasn’t had a love interest since her devastating break up with Burke but she seems hopeful to give things a try with Owen. This could be a match made in Seattle Grace heaven.
