As Conan O’Brien waits out his contractual agreement to stay away from TV until September, word is spreading that he’s not staying out of the spotlight: He’s taking it to the stage.
According to Ticketmaster’s Web site, O’Brien will be performing at the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix on April 30.
Rumors about a potential tour have been bouncing around the Internet since O’Brien’s run as Tonight Show host ended in January. According to the terms of his contract with NBC, O’Brien can’t appear regularly on TV again until September, but there’s nothing in the rules about him not going on the road.
TMZ reports that the Ticketmaster Web site took down the actual listing for O’Brien’s Phoenix show, but the event continues to be listed under “On Sale Soon”, and TMZ reports a Dodge Theatre representative says the event is happening.
