jon-gosselin-sldPhotos Vegas Pool Party
Newly single dad of eight, Jon Gosselin hosted a pool party this weekend at the MGM Grand Hotel.

From the photos Jon seemed to be on his best behavior – TLC reportedly hasn’t been thrilled about Jon’s party boy image since splitting with Kate.

Jon  brought his mother to the festivities, probably to keep him on check and avoid potential “time-out” from the bosses over in TLC who pay the bills.

What surprises me about his new found freedom is his new found tackiness.  I was a fan of the show  and often felt sorry for him – he frequently was the subject of Kate’s verbal abuse and belittling.

There was one episode where Kate screamed at him across a packed Toys R Us while Christmas shopping and everyone turned around in utter disbelief.  I sat in my living room and felt completely embarrassed for him.

So I wonder how did a guy like that wind up hosting a Vegas pool party?

Jon’s proclaimed his singleness by donning Ed Hardy t shirts and over-sized stud earrings.  It just seems really tacky and a tad on the sleazy side.

I’ve seen him get hair plugs put  in and squeal at excitement at a  Banana Republic outlet because the dress shirts were on sale – I can’t remove that image and replace it for this new not so cool party boy one.

In my opinion Jon  should clean up his act and stop further embarrassing himself.

Do you thinking Jon Gosselin's new image has gone too far?

LOL…this post was too funny! I agree…he went from DAD to DUD.

  2. Janet says:

Since when does someone become famous for being a jerk? Only in America!

  3. kt says:

Jeez what a friggen doush….He is living the single life. But no wonder that wife of his was a nazi.

  4. Double standard says:

If he were a woman you would be saying ” I’m glad that she has moved on, and she deserves to have some fun after such a bad marriage”. It always amuses me to watch the double standard that when women leave a bad marriage nothing is “too bad” for them to do. They are “just getting over it”. Men and women alike need to act better for their childrens sake instead of only caring about themselves.

  5. Sweet Tee says:

Oh please…I don’t PITY men at all! I’m sorry! Us women carry much more emotional baggage than men and that alone is enough. The timing is just off with Jon, he jumped into that “scene” way too quick. TYPICAL “REBELLION” GUY MOVE…UGH!

  6. michelle says:

He can enjoy his life and have fun, but he doesnt have to be dating girls 1/2 his age and dressing or partying like a teenager. he is a grown man and should act like one.

  7. Agree says:

I do agree she treated him like shit… But, the way he is acting now with this “young love” he has and “pool party” it’s making HIM look bad and his wife like the GREAT ONE! He can enjoy his life without making a complete fool of himself and his children who in the long run will really pay the price… No one is thinking of them. Hopefully Jon will open his eyes and stop acting a teenager who just turned 18 and left his parents house, & act like the great father of 8 that he really is.

  8. Lynn says:

Jon really doesn’t know what to do with himself, I feel. This is just a stage he is going through since he really had no idea he would be living a life of a celebrity.I think once he gets his head on straight again, he will realize what is going on around him and the choices he makes.

@Double Standard — If he were a woman you would be saying ” I’m glad that she has moved on, and she deserves to have some fun after such a bad marriage”.

Are you frickin’ kidding me? If a woman with 8 kids was off doing this the public would be outraged and screaming for her children to be taken away. Give me a stinkin break.

  10. richard says:

Give Jake a break-he suffered severely from spousal abuse as we all know-okay,he was a typical husband.Anyway-he has retrieved his gonads from Kate and has blossomed.-Go Team Jake!!!

  11. me, myself, and i says:

After living with that harridan, Kate, I’m not surprised at anything he does. Doesn’t she know better than to belittle her husband in public or private? Men should be respected by their wives. He’s well out of it.

  12. Big Daddy says:

Both these people are pretty reprehensible if you ask me. They conjure up drama for a television show that only showcases their lack of entertainment talent. It used to be that people needed to have some talent as a singer, dancer, actor, comedian, or other circus tricks to warrant our entertainment attention. Now that we will sit still to watch someone else’s train wreck of a life while patting ourselves on the back that we’re OK, it doesn’t matter what he does. It’s not about him–it’s about the rest of us and some sick need to watch other people’s lives, as if our own aren’t interesting enough. Do we really need to watch a man be berated by a screeching magpie? Do we really need to watch a man present an image to us that he is “moving on with his life” as if that moving on will not involve the screeching magpie who watches over his eight children? He’s not moving anywhere and neither are you as long as you watch. That’s why the show and all this interest in it is stupid. Their lives are actually in a state of inertia–he moved out of the house he shared with her, but he will never be rid of this woman no matter how many new hotties he dates. He will not be able to start a “new” family because who wants more than eight kids? What intelligent woman will have kids with or marry a guy who is so entrenched with another live woman? The bubble headed wife will never be rid of the need to dominate someone except she can’t blame the new guy for filling her house up with eight kids. What new man would walk into that house to live unless he wanted to be fed at the kiddie table?

In short, all I see here is a plane wreck of this family’s life in the offing and the kids getting hit with all their shrapnel. If these people wanted to do themselves and their families a favor, they would spare the rest of us from the spectacle. If we had any dignity, decency or respect for that family and those kids, we would turn them off and give them their privacy. They really need it right now.

Let’s find some truly talented people and give them a reason to keep pursuing their craft.

  13. yaa if it was her you people would be saying ooo i feel bad for her if you was with that bitch you will run too..leave the guy alone..

  14. Ace says:

Kate was and still is a bitch. Good for him. Would we all care if he wasn’t a reality star??

  15. Oh geeze says:

Neither of them are “stars” and most people seem to take sides for whatever reason. They’re both idiots that exploited their family to make a buck. Nobody forced them to put themselves on TV. I feel bad for the kids. They didn’t have a choice.
