ozzy_fridayRocker Ozzy Osbourne is set to be honored by the City of West Palm Beach on Friday at 5 p.m. at Centennial Square.

West Palm Beach Mayor Lois Frankel will give Osbourne the key to the city in recognition for his many years of bringing both his shows and Ozzfest to South Florida.

Buzz 103.1 Morning Buzz host Jeremy Loper, whose station helped organize the event, said this is an opportunity for South Florida fans to show appreciation to the rocker and his family.

“Ozzfest had started off here every year for a long time, and Ozzy and Sharon always stayed in West Palm Beach,” Loper said. “We want to say thank you to Ozzy and his family for all of the memories, and we thought this was the best idea to do that.”

The ceremony will precede Osbourne’s book-signing ceremony at Barnes & Noble in Palm Beach Gardens at 6 p.m. for the former Black Sabbath lead singer’s new autobiography, I Am Ozzy. Only those with wristbands are allowed in the signing line — Barnes & Noble will give wristbands to those patrons who purchase I Am Ozzy after 2 p.m. Friday.

Gee, all I see are a bunch of cry babies here. Just because it’s Ozzy! He has brought tons to the City of West Palm Beach! His music for one for many, many years! He has brought a distinct group of individuals together known as metal heads, to rock on and have a great time in a great town! He has brought work to many people in the community by touring here year after year. The more concerts in the area, the more people can work and the more the local businesses can make money off the concert goers! You may disagree with what I say, but guess what? IT’S A DONE DEAL and OZZY, MY HERO, has the key to the city! So get over it! I would invite Ozzy and his family also back into Lake Worth, where he has also visited local businesses over the years WITHOUT receiving any keys to any building! Oh yeah Lois Frankel ROCKS for doing this for OUR community! She’s the only one who has the balls to do something so great for us, the fans! ROCK ON LOIS FRANKEL! And ROCK ON OZZY OSBOURNE! WOO HOO!!!

See kids, this is what happens when you use drugs all your life, you get the Key to High-way… you get to live the high-life. See if Ozzy wouldn’t have used drugs he’d just be another loser working some loser job and hating life as much as all of the people complaining about him. They’re no different than the people that said dancing was bad for you, they’re just tired, old, dried up prudes… so make sure you don’t turn out like they did…

Now that was a nice message to leave for kids you idiot !! Guess your one of those prunes who never had a drink or drug your whole life ?????? B O R I N G !!! you have not lived . this man did drugs so what like what rock star hasn’t but Gene Simmons ! so he is a loser who donates his money to great charities , has wonderful kids who are doing something with there life ! so he came from nothing and made something for himself and enjoyed it along the way !! don’t be jealous cause no one would give you a key to there junker !! And you thinking drugs is why ozzy is where he is today your are brain dead !!! NO its called drive , work , and that is what the kids need to know not your BS !!

I would have preferred an appearance by the OZZY we all grew up with. He should have dropped his pants and pissed on the podium while screaming “REMEMBER THE ALAMO!”, and then bit the head off Lois Frankel (the old bat).

  4. Yolanda Message for E says:

I’m glad that he got the opportunity to be reveled for the star that he it. Because that what he is an entertainer and be it as it is ex drug head or not. ( were not perfect) His voice is still impecable.

I went to the ceremony. THank you Osbournes for Rocking WPB all those years.. ( a young now older Ozzfest Young White Female.)
