Betty White has confirmed that she will be appearing on Saturday Night Live “in the near future”, according to People.

The move comes following a groundswell of Internet support on a Facebook page, which has received half a million fans.

When asked whether she’d be appearing on SNL at Elton John’s annual Oscar party, she replied “Yes.”
