“Oh no… here come the Globetrotters!”

“They ruin everything.”

OK, this was actually NOT a direct quote from Sam and Dan on this week’s episode of The Amazing Race. It only seems like it.

The budding rivalry between Sam and Dan and Harlem Globetrotters Flight Time and Big Easy – which to this point seemed very one-sided, as Sam and Dan would let the Globies get to them for some reason – took off in Estonia when Big Easy and Dan tangled and fell before getting to the pit stop.

So I’m expecting … well, maybe not a knockdown drag-out brawl, but certainly some words. Should’ve realized our Globies would smooth things over on their end, while Sam and Dan continued their eyerolling jealousy.

So this week’s race leg takes place in Prague, which, at least to me, is one of those cool cities your friends go to, and then you hear about what they did, and your eyerolling jealousy kicks in and you end up acting like Sam and Dan.

As for the rivalry on the Race, well, that ended up taking off, spreading to all four teams – and why not? The million dollars is just around the corner.

In this episode, we saw:

• Meghan and Cheyne accusing Flight Time of slowing them down by slowly climbing down a tower after a ropes course. Flight Time wasn’t deliberately doing it – until they accused him of it. Then he began actually slowing down on purpose.

• But Meghan and Cheyne got their revenge when they played the Globies, making like they were traveling back to Prague on a train, then ditching them for a faster taxi.

'Honey, they're taking our cab!' 'Hey, no! Don't do that!' They did it. (CBS)

• Sam and Dan, meanwhile, out and out stole a cab out from under Brian and Ericka. You could say the boys were simply taking advantage of the situation, but could they have been a bit more classy? Yeah.

(An aside: This doesn’t qualify Sam and Dan as the biggest jerks ever on Race – not even close. Longtime fans may remember Jonathan and Victoria – and really, Jonathan, who constantly heaped abuse on his wife – as well as Colin and Christie, who lifted the term “ugly American” to new heights. And apparently broke an ox.)

It built to the point where Sam and Dan couldn’t make eye contact with Brian and Ericka after finishing the final challenge of this leg. And once more, they arrive to the pit stop with the Globies hot on their heels.

Sam and Dan also had no help from Race editors, who showed the boys scowling as the Globies smiled at the pit stop.

Now, heading into a second Prague leg on Sunday, we’ve still got all four teams – even Brian and Ericka stay in the race due to it being a non-elimination leg. As we head into the penultimate leg, here are a few questions:

• Will consistent winners Cheyne and Meghan let the little things – like Meghan’s annoying voice, which reverberated all over the Estates Theater in Prague during the final challenge – get to them?

• Will Brian and Ericka continue to pursue their strategy of fair play (which is Brian’s view)? Or will they, in the words of Ericka, “not work with anybody, ever, anymore.”

• Will the Globetrotters be forced to knock down Sam and Dan? (Please!)

• Will Sam and Dan ever stop whining to each other, about each other, about other racers, etc.? (I’m guessing no.)

Finally, our eliminated couples take off from Vietnam, spending their last week in Elimination Station, but not before they get to break stuff:

  1. “My ox is broken!”

Oh, that’s so beautiful. Thanks for reminding me of that, Tully.
