Co-hosts of ABC's The View

As a kid, did you ever put fighting fish in the same fish bowl to see what would happen? Did you ever try it with six fish? Well, if you didn’t, don’t waste your time, just watch Ann Coulter on The View this morning.

Ann Coulter, a Palm Beach County resident, visited The View to promote her book “Guilty – Liberal ‘Victims’ and Their Assault on America.” I don’t like to talk politics, so I won’t, but everyone repeat after me: AWKWARD.

Coulter came out with her dukes up, relishing the opportunity for a good catty fight, after all, rustling feathers is her “act,” as View co-host Whoopi Goldberg told her. But she underestimated the “fighters.” Even the cursory “softball questions” that usually begin the interviews flew right out the window. Ann Coulter was not afforded that luxury.

Whether you agree with Coulter or not it made for great TV. I haven’t seen that many insults and tension since good ol’ Rosie left the show. She even disrespected Barbara Walters…a TV no-no. She didn’t get the memo, I guess. Sherri Shepherd did and flew to Barbra Wa-Wa’s defense. Even the View’s token right-wing conservative Elizabeth Hasselbeck couldn’t come to Coulter’s defense.

Here is a suggestion: Bring back Rosie and replace Hasselbeck with Coulter. Those would be fights of Pay-Per-View level and ratings bonanzas!

  1. Mike says:

The view is just a bunch of rich liberals. I can’t believe anyone watches that show anyway. What do you really have in common with those woman anyway?

  2. Denise says:

The women on The View were mostly rude and didn’t let Ann Coulter get a word in edgewise. Before the interview even started Walters made a remark Ann should be happy they are talking about the book.. that was uncalled for. There was a tone in Walter’s voice. It was all down hill from there. If they are going to have guests on the show, then we should be able to hear what they want to say. So many interruptions, what a waste of time.

  3. Carolyn says:

I can’t believe anyone gives air time to this arrogant, egomanical woman. She has said some of the most outrageous things (especially about 9/11) and spews her venom to make money. She needs to shut up and go away.

  4. Joe The Plummer says:

She is what is wrong with America. Spewing her hatred.

  5. Billy says:

I’m not religious, but I’m 99% sure Ann Coulter is the Devil disguised as a blond human being.

  6. Larry Craig says:

    I think he’s HOT! I mean she…..ah.. er..

  7. Barb says:

The woman just says anything, the more controversial the better. She’s just looking for any way to get herself into the news. She disgusts me. Its all about making money.

  8. Charlotte says:

Ann is the slut in high school that thought she was hot, thinks she is “still hot” BUT IS NOT, NEVER WAS, NEVER WILL BE. WILL NEVER BE PART OF THE IN CROWD! So someone will notice her, she came up with this garbage to self promote and shock. She is what is wrong with this country!

  9. chuck says:

Most people that watch the View are uneducated, liberal, tabloid following nitwits who wouldn’t recognize the truth if it was staring them in the face. Ann should have known they wouldn’t have the collective sense to understand a word of what she was trying to enlighten them on. They looked particularly stupid, all trying to talk at once.

  10. Nick says:

    Amen Chuck!

  11. Nick says:

Ann Coulter is a blowhard and her schtick is way over-played. If anyone in that room is out of touch it’s her, a spoiled rich white woman professing to tell what it’s like to a child with mulit-racial parents or being a single mother. What a pandering imbecile!

  12. chuck says:

Speaking of multi-racial, you don’t see blackbirds mating with bluebirds…..Hmmm.

  13. RosieFan says:

I might be the only person on the planet that likes Rosie, but the View just isn’t that interesting since she left. She’s just so damn entertaining and says whatever’s on her mind. If she were there today, Coulter would have been put in her place.

  14. Fern says:

Like it or not, like her or not Ann was trying to get across the point that these are not her numbers but was citing studies and quotes. Although the conclusions are not popular actual factual numbers and truth trump emotion but unfortunately this little tidbit gets continually overlooked. A clear example of shoot the messenger.

  15. Robert F says:

Ann is a person on the verge of a breakdown. A troubled, soulless mouth piece of those that will leave her behind. Times have changed, we are over the conservative ugliness that has run rampant from Reagan’s terms. I think she sees pies flying towards here from the periphery.
Please media, pull the platform from under her. Not everyone wants to watch a train wreck.
    Thank you.

  16. Connie Marez says:

Ann Coulter is an American hero. She’s the only one with the backbone to say what needs to be said, but isnt politically correct. I’d love to take my shot at those lazy libs.

  17. Stance says:

I completely agree that this is a hidden agenda of the left to destroy the integrity of the American family unit. I worked in hospital nursery for fifteen years and watched couple after couple who couldnt afford to get married thanks to the promotion of non-married write-offs, Medicaid, etc. The government paid for single mom’s housing, food, education, and medical. How could anyone afford to pass up that deal by getting married!!! Ann Coulter is dead on, I’m buying the book just to encourage her to keep writing.

  18. Nick says:

“There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.”
    — Mark Twain

  19. Bob says:

Make Ann Coulter a View regular so the network can at least appear to give fair and equal representation to topics. Rosie O used to attack people for having guns yet her child’s bodyguard carried a gun! When the panelists on The View disagreed with Ann they started to shout their retorts while Ann was still giving her response to their previous question. Barbara Streisand purports to speak for the huddled masses – just don’t let them drive by her house or even fly over it. Kennedy might have had more sexual partners than did Bill Clinton but the press never reported it. Face it – it’s not good TV to be a conservative — liberals give the most entertaining parties – - – but Obama is learning – it’s the conservatives that he really needs to help him run government. When was the last time you hired a liberal to do your taxes or invest your money? The View can’t walk the walk.

  20. Trishdish says:

As a single mother, I will always worry about the public allowing ANY of her mindless trash to circulate throughout
our society. Her stupid, baseless insight into a world she
has no clue about on a personal level makes me sick.
She has offended our 911 widows and now some very decent
single mom’s trying to make the best of their situation.
DO NOT BUY her trash..she is a wasted release of carbon.
